Prep & Plate - Terms and Conditions


Article 1 - Definitions

  • Cooling-off period: The period during which the consumer can exercise their right of cancellation.
  • Consumer: A natural person not acting in the course of trade, business, or profession who enters into a distance contract with Prep & Plate.
  • Day: Calendar day.
  • Duration transaction: A distance contract for a series of products and/or services delivered over time.
  • Durable medium: Any means that allows the consumer or Prep & Plate to store information for future reference and unchanged reproduction.
  • Right of withdrawal: The consumer's option to cancel the distance contract within the withdrawal period.
  • Entrepreneur: Prep & Plate, the entity offering kitchen utensils and related products at a distance to consumers.
  • Distance contract: A contract concluded via a system organized for the remote sale of products using distance communication techniques.
  • Remote communication technique: Any means to conclude a contract without the consumer and Prep & Plate being physically present together.
  • General terms and conditions: The current general terms and conditions of Prep & Plate.

Article 2 - Applicability

These terms and conditions apply to every offer and distance contract concluded between Prep & Plate and the consumer.
Before a contract is concluded, the text of these terms and conditions will be made available to the consumer. If this is not possible, it will be provided upon request without charge.
For electronic contracts, these terms and conditions can be made available electronically in a way that allows storage for future reference.
If specific conditions for products apply, they are supplementary to these terms. In the event of conflicting terms, the most favorable to the consumer applies.


Article 3 - Prep & Plate Identity

Prep & Plate is a brand offering high-quality kitchen utensils, operated by:

Article 4 - The Offer

Offers will clearly state their validity period or any specific conditions.
All offers are non-binding and subject to changes by Prep & Plate.
Descriptions of kitchen utensils will be complete and accurate. Images used are illustrative but may not reflect exact colors or details.

The offer will clearly outline:

  • Total price (excluding customs and VAT for international orders).
  • Shipping costs.
  • Right of withdrawal (if applicable).
  • Payment, delivery, and fulfillment methods.
  • Period of validity.
  • Any additional terms relevant to the offer.

Article 5 - The Contract

The contract is concluded once the consumer accepts the offer and fulfills the stated conditions.
For electronic agreements, receipt of acceptance will be acknowledged electronically.
Prep & Plate will take appropriate measures to ensure secure data transmission and online transactions.
If Prep & Plate finds reasons to refuse an order, they reserve the right to do so or to apply special conditions, providing justification to the consumer.


Article 6 - Right of Cancellation

Consumers have 14 days from receipt of the product to cancel their purchase without reason.
Products must be returned in original condition and packaging, including all accessories.
Notification of cancellation must be made in writing or via email within the cooling-off period. The consumer must return the product within 14 days of this notification.


Article 7 - Costs in Case of Withdrawal

The consumer bears the cost of returning products.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receipt of returned products or proof of return.


Article 8 - Price

Prices will remain unchanged during the validity period stated in the offer, except for changes in VAT or customs fees.
Any errors in pricing or typographical mistakes will not bind Prep & Plate.
The consumer is responsible for additional costs such as customs duties or import taxes.


Article 9 - Conformity and Warranty

Products will conform to the contract and meet reasonable quality standards.
Consumers must notify Prep & Plate of defects within 14 days of delivery.

Warranty does not apply to:

  • Improper use.
  • Modifications or repairs by third parties.
  • Normal wear and tear or government-mandated regulations affecting materials.

Article 10 - Delivery and Execution

Orders will be processed with care and delivered to the address provided by the consumer.
Delivery will occur within 30 days unless agreed otherwise. If delayed, the consumer will be informed and may cancel the order for a refund.
If a product is unavailable, a replacement may be offered. The consumer retains the right to reject the replacement.


Article 11 - Duration Transactions

Open-ended contracts for regular supply can be terminated with one month’s notice.
Fixed-term contracts will not renew automatically, except for specific cases agreed with the consumer.
Contracts longer than one year may be terminated after one year with one month’s notice.


Article 12 - Payment

Payments must be completed within the specified period after the cooling-off period.
Consumers must report inaccuracies in payment details promptly.


Article 13 - Complaints Procedure

Complaints must be submitted within 7 days of discovering defects.
Complaints will be acknowledged within 14 days, with an indication of resolution time if more than 14 days are required.
If a complaint is justified, Prep & Plate will replace or repair the product free of charge.


Article 14 - Disputes

In the event of disputes, efforts will be made to resolve the issue amicably.


Article 15 - Updates to Terms

These terms and conditions may be updated to reflect changes in operations or practices. Consumers are encouraged to review this page periodically.
